IMCSP Comparative Social Policy (International) (IMCSP)
The IMCSP programme responds to the growing demand for policy professionals who can analyse, compare, and design social policies across diverse societies. It is the only taught Master’s programme in Hong Kong that places systematic international comparison at the heart of social policy, development, and governance.
The programme is offered by Lingnan University’s Department of Sociology and Social Policy, which is home to one of Asia’s leading Social Policy & Administration programmes (QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025: 14th in Asia; 3rd in Hong Kong). Lingnan also ranks among the top 100 universities in Asia (THE Asia University Rankings 2026), reflecting its growing international standing.

IMCSP offers two concentrations — Social Innovation and Social Research — allowing students to tailor their studies to their career goals: lead social change and design innovative solutions, or develop advanced research expertise for policy analysis and doctoral study.
