Student Achievements

The Future HR Talents Hackathon 2023/24, hosted by the HKMA Human Capital Management Society, invited one team from each Hong Kong university, consisting of 2-4 Year 2 to Year 4 business major undergraduates, with at least half majoring in Human Resources. Teams competed for Champion, 1st runner-up, 2nd runner-up, and Best Presentation Awards. Our HRM students, Tsang Tsz Suet, Wu Yeuk Nam, and Lam Wing Yan (all Year 4), received a Merit Award scholarship.

A team of Human Resources Management students, Lam Wing-ki (Year 4), Lee Cheuk-wun (Year 4) and Chong Yuen-yau (Year 3), representing Lingnan in the Future HR Talents Hackathon 2022, has won 1st Runner-up among other nine teams from local universities.

Hosted by the HKMA Human Capital Management Society, the annual event simulates real-life HR business challenges for students. Each team has two to four Year 2 to Year 4 business major full-time undergraduate students, with at least half the team members studying Human Resources as a major or as a concentration.

In late May 2022, a team of four Lingnan University (LU) Business students triumphed over seven top student teams in Hong Kong, including those from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and The University of Hong Kong, to become the Champion of the CGMA Global Business Challenge for the Hong Kong region. As champions, the LU team earned the opportunity to represent Hong Kong in the subsequent North Asia final.

Known as Team 404, the LU team comprises Lau Lok-tin (Year 3 BBA-Finance), Lee Cheuk-wun (Year 4 BBA-Human Resource Management), Chong Yuen-yau (Year 3 BBA-Human Resource Management), and Aaron Cheuk Hiu-fung (Year 3 BBA-Marketing).
