Online documentary screening: Plastic Everywhere X Environmental Sustainability 總有一「膠」喺附近：香港膠污染

呢個放映會由核心課程及通識教育辦事處 (CCGEO) 、科學教研組 (SU) 及 CNEX 合辦，將會播放兩套環保紀錄片：

Start Small, Start Now: Hong Kong ’ s Plastic Story (2018) ｜ 19 分鐘｜香港｜導演： John Alexander, Matthew Williams-Ellis ｜廣東話配音
影片由屢獲殊榮的電影二人組合 Photo Escapes 和非牟利團體 EcoDrive 合作，在 2018 年進行了十多天的拍攝，揭示香港塑膠污染的嚴重性。在影片中，我們不難找到減少使用一次性塑膠的方法，為環保出一分力。（按此觀看預告片）

垃圾山水 (2015) ｜ 21 分鐘｜台灣｜導演：林佑學｜普通話發音，中英字幕
旅居香港的德國藝術家 Liina Klauss ，喜歡在沙灘上撿垃圾，她把淨灘過程收集到的垃圾 ，依其對色彩的敏感來重新排列，做成甚具美感的裝置藝術。透過她獨特的眼光，經歷了宛如探險式的創作歷程，是一場從垃圾到藝術，再回歸自然山水的反思。（按此觀看預告片）

The “Online documentary screening: Plastic Everywhere X Environmental Sustainability” is co-organized by CCGEO, Science Unit and CNEX. The following two documentaries will be shown:

“Start Small, Start Now: Hong Kong’s Plastic Story”, is a collaboration between award-winning film duo Photo Escapes and EcoDrive, a non-profit organization creating progressive action toward reduction of single-use plastics in Hong Kong. 

“Landscape of Rubbish” introduced Liina KLAUSS, a German artist, who have resided in Hong Kong. She collects and arranges the rubbish with its’ colour in the process of beach cleaning. Through her vision, the rubbish turns into an incredible art installation. The film extends to the problems with waste that inspired by art creation.

After the screenings, Prof. Paulina Wong from the Science Unit will share about environmental sustainability in Hong Kong.

The activity aims to discover the shocking consequences of plastic pollution in Hong Kong and raise participants’ awareness of environmental issues. Participants will learn the importance of reducing waste and developing a sustainable city.
