The School of Graduate Studies (GS) warmly welcomes our new postgraduate students to the Lingnan Postgraduate Orientation 2026, themed “Empower Your Future”. The event will be held on 27 August 2026 (Thursday), featuring a Welcome Ceremony & Informative Sharing Sessions, and a vibrant Campus Carnival. The excitement continues on 27–28 August 2026 with the Campus Stamp Hunt, designed to help new students familiarise themselves with the campus and build connections within the Lingnan community.
Event Highlights

- Experience Campus Life: Immerse yourself in Lingnan’s vibrant atmosphere through the Campus Carnival and interactive Campus Stamp Hunt.
- Capture Precious Moments: Create special memories at the photo booth and the 3D decoration photo zone.
- Connect with Community: Build meaningful connections with fellow postgraduates, faculty members, and alumni.
- Receive GS Souvenirs: Take home custom‑designed souvenirs to commemorate this milestone.

A fun-filled two-day stamp hunt is designed to help new postgraduate students explore the campus and learn about useful resources and services. Postgraduate students can collect e-stamps at various checkpoints by scanning QR codes. Upon completion, they can redeem custom‑designed GS souvenirs as a rewarding experience!

In the event that the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 (or above) or the Black Rainstorm Signal is in force as announced by the Hong Kong Observatory, or “Extreme Conditions” is announced by the HKSAR Government, on 26, 27 or 28 August 2026, the following arrangements will apply:

Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above, Black Rainstorm Signal or “Extreme Conditions” | 26 August (Wednesday), anytime between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm | Activities on 27 August (Thursday) will be postponed to 28 August (Friday) |
26 and 27 August (Wednesday and Thursday), anytime between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm | Activities will be cancelled. |
- Arrangements for activities on 27 August 2026 (Thursday)
Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above (or likely to be issued within 2 hours) or “Extreme Conditions” | Anytime between 6:30 am and 11:00 am | Activities will be postponed to 28 August (Friday). |
Anytime between 11:00 am and 5:30 pm | All activities will be suspended. Participants should return home or take shelter in a safe place without delay. | |
Black Rainstorm Signal | Anytime between 6:30 am and 11:00 am | Activities will be postponed to 28 August (Friday). |
