The cultural and creative industry has become a pillar of the economy and will continue to be a significant driving force for society's advancement. With the advent of the digital landscape, the need for crafting immersive spaces and virtual art financial products grows by the day. The industry in Greater China is now in the phase of self-reflection, adjustment, and breakthrough. There are multitudinous growth opportunities with the current GuoChao (Chinese Fad) and Museum relics creation facilitated by Arts Tech (Art and Technology). We see the vast space for the blossoming demand for integrated value chain services and maneuvers supporting such.

With the development of science and technology, the extended art industry witnessed a variety of new business models. The future of Arts Tech relies on highly specialized talents. These talents should be equipped with data-driven strategic and planning skills in the global context, knowledge of art investment trends and auction pricing models, appreciation of fine arts and AI-motivated generative art, and most importantly, the courage to explore and be open-minded to diversity and sustainability of the art and creative industry. These talents will contribute to the development of the cultural and creative art industry, becoming a bridge between China and the West and a promoter of the integrated development of multi-generational art and technology.

The Faculty of Business, Lingnan University keenly responds to new trends and policies and strives to develop new programmes for cultivating talents under the "industry-university-research" approach. We have launched the MSc Programme of "Arts, Technology and Business" in 2023 Fall. The programme liaises the top business education provided by Faculty of Business, Lingnan University with the prospective art master courses instructed by the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University. We aim to nurture future leaders with rigorous commercial capabilities, entrepreneurial and innovative mindset, and aptitudes of appreciation and exploration of Arts Tech, to facilitate the fast-changing art and creative industry development.
