Impact of Giving

Philip Wong, a dedicated 2023 BBA graduate from Lingnan University, embodies the spirit of philanthropy. Now thriving as a Global Graduate Trainee at HSBC, Philip's journey of giving back began with inspiration from a senior during his time at Lingnan.

After graduation, Philip established the Philip Wong Scholarship, motivated by the belief that gratitude can multiply when shared. As of the academic year 2024/2025, he has empowered six deserving recipients of this scholarship, helping them pursue their academic goals.

Philip’s own transformative experience was made possible by the Lee Hysan Foundation Exchange Scholarships, which enabled him to study at the University of Strathclyde in the UK during his third year. This opportunity not only broadened his horizons but also enriched his professional journey. Recognising the life-changing potential of such experiences, he is passionate about ensuring that more Lingnanians can embark on similar paths.

Philip believes his contribution serves as a vital encouragement for students, assuring them that their hard work and ambition are recognised. With a belief that “No act of kindness is too small”, he encourages all Lingnanians to foster a culture of philanthropy, empowering the community together.
