Lingnan Foundation Visits Lingnan University

Delegates from Lingnan Foundation, including Dr Ding-Jo Currie, President, Mr Huang Jian, Trustee of the Board, and Mr Ian Heuer, Director of Grants, Programs, and Operations, visited Lingnan University on 15 June 2026, and were warmly welcomed by Prof S. Joe Qin, President and Wai Kee Kau Chair Professor of Data Science. 

During the visit, the delegation engaged with key representatives from various funded projects, including Prof Bradley Barnes, Special Advisor to President on Internationalization and Director of Global Education, Prof Albert Ko, Director of Service-Learning, Ms Irene Ng, Director of Student Affairs, and Prof Richard Walker, Director of the Lingnan University Institute for Advanced Study. Students benefitting from these projects also participated, sharing comprehensive updates on the project progress and offering insights into their first-hand experiences. This meaningful exchange highlighted Lingnan Foundation’s invaluable support in enriching students’ learning experiences and advancing academic and research innovation at Lingnan University. 

The Lingnan Foundation has long stood as a vital supporter and stakeholder of Lingnan University. Over the years, it has generously supported numerous projects and programmes that contribute to student development and the University’s growth. Current initiatives supported by the Foundation include the Alliance of Asian Liberal Arts Universities, Lingnan Foundation Distinguished Lecture Series, Lingnan-Yuanpei STEM Summer Academy, the Need-based Financial Aid Scheme for Financially Needy Outgoing Exchange Students, and the Social Innovation Hub.
