HKIBS Postdoctoral Fellow obtains outstanding results in the 2nd China Postdoctoral Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition (Overseas/Outland)

Congratulations to Dr GUO Yanlong, Postdoctoral Fellow of Hong Kong Institute of Business Studies who stood out in the National Finals of the 2nd China Postdoctoral Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition (overseas/ outland).

The 2nd China Postdoctoral Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition is a national competition sponsored by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the National Postdoctoral Management Committee. This year’s competition, with a theme of "Empowering Development with Wisdom, Leading the Future with Innovation", has four events namely Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Overseas (outland) and Problem-solving. For each event, there are seven categories including new generation Information Technology, high-end equipment, new energy, biomedicine & healthcare, agriculture, maritime studies and other industries. It is the largest nationwide postdoctoral competition, attracting 25,000 domestic and overseas participants with a total of 6,206 postdoctoral projects registered.

This year, a total of 80 participating projects were shortlisted in the category of new generation Information Technology for the semi-finals of the 2nd China Postdoctoral Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition (overseas/ outland), and Dr GUO’s project “Enterprise Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Solution for Digital Transformation based on a Private Blockchain Network” is one of them. He then beat 35 teams around the world and successfully entered the National Finals, eventually ranking 31st among the 45 finalists.

Contestants in the 2nd China Postdoctoral Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition (overseas/ outland) must be either the person in charge or a core member of the participating project. They also need to possess overseas/ outland postdoctoral work experience or a doctoral degree, irrespective of their nationality. The competition has not only showcased the outstanding achievements of postdoctoral fellows, but also created a conductive environment for the nationwide development of postdoctoral talents.

香港商學研究所博士後於《第二屆全國博士後創新創業大賽—海外（境外）賽》全國總決賽取得佳績

恭喜嶺南大學香港商學研究所博士後郭艷龍博士於第二屆全國博士後創新創業大賽—海外（境外）賽取得優異成績！

第二屆全國博士後創新創業大賽由人力資源社會保障部和全國博士後管理委員會主辦。大賽今年的主題是「智匯賦能發展—博創引領未來」，比賽設有創新賽、創業賽、海外（境外）賽和揭榜領題賽四組賽事。各組別分別設7個賽道，包括：新一代資訊技術、高端裝備製造、新能源新材料、生物醫藥與健康、現代農業與食品、海洋開發與應用、其他行業等。該賽事是我國規模最大、層次最高、覆蓋面最廣的博士後賽事，共計參賽項目6,206個，吸引了25,000名本地及海外人士參賽。

今年一共有80個參賽項目通過預選，入圍海外（境外）賽「新一代資訊技術」組別準決賽，而郭博士憑著「基於私有鏈的企業數字化防泄密主機」項目成功爭取入圍名額。他其後更擊敗來自世界各地的35支隊伍，成功進入全國總決賽，最終獲全國排名第31位。

海外（境外）賽的參賽人員必須為參賽項目的負責人或核心成員，並擁有海外或境外的博士後工作經驗或博士學位，國藉不限。是次大賽不但展示博士後的優秀成果，亦為我國博士後人才發展營造了良好生態環境。
