Outstanding Student Awards Presentation Ceremony 2024-25

Lingnan Institute of Further Education (LIFE) Outstanding Student Awards Presentation Ceremony was held successfully on 13 August 2025 at Sin Cho Ming Function Hall, Lingnan University, to commend the students of Associate Degree, Higher Diploma, Diploma and Diploma of Applied Education with various achievements. Many teachers and parents were present to congratulate the awardees.

Mr. Justin LAM, Head of Teaching Faculty, delivered a welcoming speech. He congratulated all the awardees and acknowledged their hard work that led to fruitful outcomes. Many students have furthered their studies at various prestigious institutions after completing their sub-degree programmes, including local universities like CUHK and PolyU, as well as top overseas universities such as the University of Birmingham in the UK. Mr. Lam highlighted the diverse pathways available to students, showcasing the flexibility and possibilities of the curriculum. Ending with a quote from Lu Xun, “There were no roads to begin with, but when many people pass one way a road is made”, he wished everyone perseverance and resilience in their future learning and life endeavors, striving for greater heights.

Full Attendance Award, Excellent School Service Appreciation Award, Excellent Sports and Talent Award, Academic Excellence Award and Outstanding Student Award were given to Diploma of Applied Education students with brilliant performance in various respects. Honour Roll, Director’s List and Director’s Scholarship were also awarded to Associate Degree, Higher Diploma and Diploma students with outstanding academic performance.

After the awards presentation, Ms. YU, Cho Ki, student in Associate of Business Studies (Business Management), delivered a heartfelt speech that resonated with attendees. In her address, Cho Ki expressed profound gratitude to her family for their unwavering support and love, acknowledging their pivotal role in her academic journey. She also extended sincere appreciation to the dedicated teachers whose passion and mentorship inspired and guided her throughout her studies. Reflecting on her personal growth and challenges faced, Cho Ki encouraged her peers to believe in themselves, embrace setbacks, and strive for excellence.
