Outstanding Student Awards Presentation Ceremony 2025-26

Lingnan Institute of Further Education (LIFE) Outstanding Student Awards Presentation Ceremony was held successfully on 30 July 2026 at Lam Woo Lecture Theatre, Lingnan University, to commend the students of Associate Degree, Higher Diploma, Diploma and Diploma of Applied Education with various achievements. Many teachers and parents were present to congratulate the awardees.

Mr. Justin Lam, Head of Teaching Faculty, delivered a welcoming address. Drawing inspiration from the 2026 FIFA World Cup—where underdog teams like Cape Verde and the Democratic Republic of the Congo delivered extraordinary performances—he underscored that success belongs to those who dare and persist. He commended the graduates on securing diverse pathways across various local universities, highlighting a notable student from the Associate of Arts (History) programme who gained admission to the Bachelor of Arts in History at the University of Birmingham. Drawing from Proverbs 4:23, Mr. Lam encouraged students to guard their hearts above all else, urging them to safeguard their passion and purpose as they embark on their unique journeys.

Full Attendance Award, Excellent School Service Appreciation Award, Excellent Sports and Talent Award, Academic Excellence Award and Outstanding Student Award were given to Diploma of Applied Education students with brilliant performance in various respects. Honour Roll, Director’s List and Director’s Scholarship were also awarded to Associate Degree, Higher Diploma and Diploma students with outstanding academic performance.

After the awards presentation, Mr. JIANG, Jia Cheng, a graduate of the Associate of Arts (History), delivered a heartfelt speech. He thanked families for their selfless devotion and teachers for their inspiring guidance, while reflecting on how graduates overcame setbacks to emerge stronger. Looking ahead, Jia Cheng urged his peers to maintain their passion and creativity, challenging them to transcend academic success and become purposeful citizens who lead and contribute to society. Concluding with congratulations, he reminded fellow awardees that this recognition is just the launching pad for greater endeavors.
