“Ah Cheung: Wings of Hope” Screening and Sharing Session

LIFE organized the “Ah Cheung: Wings of Hope” Screening and Sharing Session on 23 December. This documentary showcases the true story of the late Hong Kong disability rights pioneer, Law Wai Cheung, Ah Cheung, who, despite living with congenital cerebral palsy and limited mobility, never let his physical condition define him and actively advocated for the rights of people with disabilities, forging a path of courage and hope.

Following the screening, director Ms. So Ka Yu, retired boccia athlete Ms. Wu Siu Fun, and artist Ms. Sham Lok Yi shared their insights with audience. Ms. So spoke about the motivation behind making the film and her experience witnessing Ah Cheung’s indomitable spirit and final days. Ms. Wu discussed the challenges faced by people with disabilities and shared how she maintains a positive and resilient attitude in adversity. Ms. Sham reflected on the emotional impact of the film and led the audience in a mindfulness exercise to find calm amid busy lives.
