LIFE Graduation Ceremony 2024 was successfully held

Lingnan Institute of Further Education (LIFE) Graduation Ceremony 2024 was successfully held on 5 December 2024. Graduation certificates were conferred upon 425 graduates of Associate Degree, Higher Diploma, Diploma and Diploma of Applied Education. Director’s Award and scholarships were also presented to outstanding students as a form of encouragement.

Prof. YU Kar Ming, Director of LIFE, delivered the welcoming address. He congratulated all the graduates and celebrated their academic achievements as they embarked on a new chapter in life. Prof. YU mentioned that society and technology are rapidly changing, and life-long learning never ends. He encouraged the graduates to seize every challenge and opportunity in the future to keep on learning and moving forward.

After the conferment and award presentation, Mr. YUEN Chun Sun, a graduate of the Diploma of Applied Education, and Mr. LAW Chung Yin, a graduate of the Associate of Social Sciences (Psychology), delivered speeches on behalf of their fellow students. Chun Sun expressed gratitude to the teachers, family, and classmates for their guidance, support, and companionship throughout the academic journey. He affirmed that the graduates have the ability to make a difference to their lives and encouraged his peers to open a new chapter with graduation and face future adventures and challenges with their heads held high.

Chung Yin, recipient of the Director’s Award, the Lingnan Club Scholarship, and the Lingnan Education Organisation Scholarship, first stated that the graduates had worked hard, grown and learnt together, and the common bond they established will last for a long time. He noted that the new people and new places they encounter in the future may shape their character. He reminded everyone to remember their education at LIFE has equipped them with the knowledge, skills, and determination necessary for success, and to move forward with courage and optimism.
