LIFE Graduation Ceremony 2025 was successfully held

Lingnan Institute of Further Education (LIFE) Graduation Ceremony 2025 was successfully held on 9 December 2025. Graduation certificates were conferred upon 434 graduates of Associate Degree, Higher Diploma, Diploma and Diploma of Applied Education. Director’s Award and scholarships were also presented to outstanding students as a form of encouragement.
Prof. YU Kar Ming, Director of LIFE, delivered the welcoming address. He congratulated all graduates, acknowledging their growth in knowledge, resilience, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving abilities. Drawing from his reflections during his tenure as Director of LIFE, Prof. YU encouraged the graduates to seize every opportunity for growth, to fully apply their potential in learning, work, and personal interactions, and to express their gratitude to their families through their achievements and progress.
After the conferment and award presentation, Mr. WONG Wai Tung, a graduate of the Diploma of Applied Education, and Mr. YUM Ka Wai, a graduate of the Higher Diploma in Sports Coaching and Leadership, delivered speeches on behalf of their fellow students. Awarded the Director’s Award, the Lingnan Club Scholarship, and the Lingnan Education Organisation Scholarship, Wai Tung thanked his teachers and classmates for their support. Quoting Tao Te Ching’s “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step,” he shared how stepping out of his comfort zone and pursuing further studies became a turning point in his life, encouraging fellow students to bravely pursue their dreams and shine.
Ka Wai, recipient of the Director’s Award and the Lingnan Education Organisation Scholarship, thanked the teachers for inspiring students to ask right questions and realize their potential, and expressed gratitude to his family and classmates for their support. He shared experiences of growing and overcoming difficulties together with peers, and encouraged graduates to carry the kindness and humility, embrace the next chapter with confidence, courage and optimism.
