LIFE Info Day 2024 (Session 2) was successfully held

Lingnan Institute of Further Education (LIFE) held the “LIFE Info Day 2024 (Session 2)” on 5 July 2024. The Info Day was composed of two thematic talks, and one-to-one consultation sessions. The events were held in hybrid mode, on both face-to-face and online basis. Thanks to all coming students, parents and teachers, the Info Day was a huge success.

The two thematic talks were “Once Upon a Time in HKDSE - Development Process of Social Media” and “Diploma of Applied Education (DAE): Take Off to a New Level”, covering programmes of Associate of Business Studies (Business Management) and Diploma of Applied Education (DAE). In the first talk, Mr. Harvey MAN Wing Cheong, Producer of “Trial & Error” (A Social Media Entertainment Entreprise in Hong Kong), ⁠Co-producer of movie “Once Upon a Time in HKDSE”, was invited as speaker. He made “Trial & Error” an example, shared the development trends of social media, and encouraged students interested in becoming content creators to skillfully find their uniqueness and stand out. Ms. LU Ning, Nancy, LIFE Programme Leader of DAE was invited as the second talk speaker. She shared the curriculum, articulation pathways and application information of the programme. The speakers answered queries of audiences, and shared more about what audiences interested in.

One-to-one consultation sessions were also held in hybrid mode. Teachers from LIFE gave individual advice to students according to their unique background, interest and ability. They answered the questions about students’ own articulation pathway, as well as information about LIFE programmes. Some of the comers applied for LIFE programme, and enjoyed a waiver of application fee. The Info Day helped students, parents and teachers grasping the most updated information of the industries and the related career pathway. Hope all of the comers gained some insights from the events.
