LIFE Info Day 2025 (Session 2) was successfully held

Lingnan Institute of Further Education (LIFE) held the “LIFE Info Day 2025 (Session 2)” on 3 Jul 2025. The Info Day composed of two thematic talks, and one-to-one consultation sessions. The events were held in hybrid mode, on both face-to-face and online basis. Thanks to all coming students, parents and teachers, the Info Day was a huge success.
The two thematic talks were “Instagram Hotspot Tai Kwun: The Magical Transformation from Police Station and Prison to Cultural Landmark” and “Diploma: Pathway to Strengthen Skills in the Articulation Ladder,” covering the fields of History and Diploma programmes. In the first talk, Dr. POON Lok shared insights on Tai Kwun’s historical roles, the complexities of Hong Kong’s early judicial system, and the importance of heritage preservation, underscoring Tai Kwun’s lasting significance. Mr. FUNG Lai-tak, LIFE Programme Leader of the Diploma in College Foundation Studies, hosted the second talk. He invited two graduates to share their experiences and insights gained from the foundation programme, as well as the pathways they have taken. The curriculum, articulation pathways, and application information were also discussed. The speakers answered audience questions and provided further information on topics of interest.
One-to-one consultation sessions were also held in hybrid mode. Teachers from LIFE gave individual advice to students according to their unique background, interest and ability. They answered the questions about students’ own articulation pathway, as well as information about LIFE programmes. Some of the comers applied for LIFE programme, and enjoyed a waiver of application fee. The Info Day helped students, parents and teachers grasping the most updated information of the industries and the related career pathway. Hope all the comers gained some insights for the events.
