5 Jun 2026
Lingnan Institute of Further Education (LIFE) held the “LIFE Info Day 2026 (Session 1)” on 5 June 2026. The Info Day composed of two thematic talks, and one-to-one consultation sessions. The events were held in hybrid mode, on both face-to-face and online basis. Thanks to all coming students, parents and teachers, the Info Day was a huge success.
The two thematic talks were “The FIFA World Cup: Then, Now, and Beyond!” and “Step Into Your Success Journey”, covering industries of Sports Coaching and Leadership and Diploma in College Foundation Studies. The talk “The FIFA World Cup: Then, Now, and Beyond!” featured senior sports commentator Mr. Li Tak-nang and Dr. Albert Wong Man-chung, Assistant Professor of Teaching at Lingnan University. Through an engaging dialogue, they reviewed how the World Cup started in the Americas and gradually transformed into a globally anticipated international event. They also looked ahead at the future development trends of the World Cup in areas such as tournament formats, match rules, and the application of technology. In the “Stepping onto the Turning Point of Success” talk, Mr. Fung Lai-tak, the Programme Leader of LIFE’s Diploma in College Foundation Studies, served as the speaker to share information regarding course content, articulation pathways, and application details. He also explored the prerequisites for success, encouraging students to recognize their own strengths and weaknesses while broadening their horizons to meet future challenges. The speakers answered queries of audiences, and shared more about what audiences interested in.
One-to-one consultation sessions were also held in hybrid mode. Teachers from LIFE gave individual advice to students according to their unique background, interest and ability. They answered the questions about students’ own articulation pathway, as well as information about LIFE programmes. Some of the comers applied for LIFE programme, and enjoyed a waiver of application fee. The Info Day helped students, parents and teachers grasping the most updated information of the industries and the related career pathway. Hope all the comers gained some insights for the events.
