LIFE Student Commended with Self-Financing Post-Secondary Scholarship 2026 Endeavour Scholarship for Outstanding Sporting Achievement
23 April 2026
TSANG Tsz Chun, Joshua, a student from the Higher Diploma in Sports Coaching and Leadership at Lingnan Institute of Further Education (LIFE), was awarded the “Endeavour Scholarship” at the HKSAR Self-Financing Post-Secondary Scholarship 2026 Presentation Ceremony. This award recognizes post-secondary students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who have demonstrated excellence in both academic and holistic development, fully affirming Joshua’s perseverance and self-improvement in the face of adversity.
Since childhood, Joshua has faced challenges from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and dyslexia, making academic memorization more demanding than for his peers. However, he transformed his boundless energy into a physical advantage, actively participating in basketball, football, and athletics from a young age. He is particularly passionate about Taspony; after obtaining his coaching certificate, his exceptional performance led to his selection for the Hong Kong, China Team. This March, Joshua travelled to Taiwan for an international exchange competition, where he delivered a steady performance in the singles event and ultimately clinched the second runner-up position. He expressed that sports have provided him the space to showcase his potential, stating, “When God closes a door, He opens a window”.
LIFE extends its heartfelt congratulations to Joshua on his fruitful achievements in sports and personal growth. We wish him continued success in his future career as a sports coach and hope his journey of perseverance inspires more young people to pursue their dreams with courage.
