Certificate in Event Management and Professional Master of Ceremonies

• In collaboration with Hong Kong M.C. Association Limited, the programme is designed for those aspiring to a career in event and banquet management and masters of ceremonies.  
• This Programme aims to provide students with professional knowledge of different types of events and banquets as well as to improve their interpersonal communication skills. Upon the completion of the programme, students will be able to organize events and banquets.

• This course is recognized under the Qualifications Framework (QF level 3), QR Registration No.: 19/000623/L3
• CERTIFICATE IN EVENT MANAGEMENT AND PROFESSIONAL MASTER OF CEREMONIES will be issued by Lingnan Institute of Further Education to those who have successfully completed the programme

1. Be aged 18 or above; AND
2. Have completed secondary education; OR
3. ​Other equivalent qualifications to be assessed by LIFE

Applicants are required to complete an online application form and upload copies of the following supporting documents:

1. Copies of documents in support of educational qualification; AND 
2. Copies of supporting documents for application of privilege (if applicable); AND
3. Document of tuition fee payment (Credit Card Payment Authorisation Form); OR
4. Applicants are required to post/send the cheques within three days upon submission of online application form.

Tuition fee is payable in two equal installments. Each instalment is HK$9,900. The application fee must be paid together with the first instalment in a separate cheque (i.e. two cheques should be issued).

Please make crossed cheques or bank drafts payable to “Lingnan University”.  Post-dated cheque is not acceptable.  Please write down 1. Course Name, 2. Applicant's Name and 3. Contact No. on the back of the cheques.

(2) VISA / Mastercard
Applicants can upload the completed Credit Card Payment Authorisation Form when filling in the application form. Applicants will be contacted via email for transactions afterwards.

Points to Note:
Applications will be processed only upon receipt of the completed application form, copies of supporting documents and payment documents. The application fee (if any) paid shall not be refunded. Tuition fee and other fees paid (if any) are neither refundable nor transferable except in cases where the programme is full or cancelled by LIFE. If payment fails, the applicant is required to settle the fees within three working days upon receipt of notification from LIFE. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of admission or suspension from subsequent classes. Students will be notified of class arrangements via email. Official receipts will be provided for all payments made by applicants. Unless otherwise notified, applicants are expected to attend classes at the times and venues specified on LIFE’s website or leaflet. In the event of any inconsistency between the online and leaflet versions, the online version shall prevail. If a refund is approved by LIFE, the process may take eight to ten weeks. • Applicants must sign and submit to LIFE the “Statement of Consent and Acknowledgement” with original signature before course commencement.

• Applications for fee reimbursement for CEF course(s) must be submitted within one year upon the successful completion of the courses*. Late applications will not be accepted.  Please refer to LIFE's CEF webpage for more information.

*      "Successful completion" of a course means that an applicant has attended no less than 70% of the contactable hours of the course or such higher attendance requirement as prescribed for the course (whichever is higher) and attained an overall mark of either 50% or such higher percentage of assessment(s) as prescribed for the course (whichever is higher) as assessed by whichever method approved by the Secretary for Labour and Welfare (including any examination and assignment requirements with approved weighting).
