International Day 2025 – Around the World
October 24th, 2025: International Day Carnival
On October 24, Lingnan University’s campus transformed into a vibrant global village during International Day 2025, themed “Around the World.” Co-hosted by the Office of Global Education (OGE) and Office of Student Affairs (OSA), the event welcomed over 800 attendees, a 60% increase from last year, making it the most dynamic celebration of cultural diversity yet.
The festivities began with an opening ceremony led by Prof Raymond Chan, Prof Li Dong Hui, and Prof Bradley Barnes, who reaffirmed Lingnan’s commitment to cultivating global citizens and fostering internationalization.
Students brought the world to life through 13 interactive booths representing cultures from East Asia, Europe, South and Central Asia, and the Americas. From Chinese traditions and European flair to Himalayan heritage and American Halloween treats, each booth offered a unique cultural experience.
The main stage featured dazzling student performances, including the elegant Kamazhay Dance, heartfelt singing, and energetic street dance, captivating the crowd throughout the day.
International Day 2025 was more than a celebration, it was a powerful showcase of Lingnan’s multicultural spirit and a springboard for students’ future global journeys.
