Spring Semester Orientation & Excursion

On 7 January 2026, OGE hosted an engaging orientation for our inbound exchange students, designed to facilitate their transition into campus life. The session included detailed information about the various campus facilities, such as the library, study areas, and recreational spaces. We shared an exciting lineup of forthcoming events, including a Western Night i.e., a festive evening with Western-themed cuisine; a Cantonese Class, where students can immerse themselves in the language, and a lively Chinese New Year Carnival, to celebrate HK’s local traditions. 

After the orientation, students gathered for a welcome lunch at Lingnan House, where they indulged in an array of authentic local Chinese cuisine. Dishes included steamed dumplings, fragrant stir-fries, and delectable sweets, all of which delighted the students and provided a wonderful introduction to Hong Kong's culinary heritage. 

To conclude this enriching day, OGE organized a Big Tour Bus Excursion from Lingnan University to Tsim Sha Tsui. This excursion provided students with the opportunity to appreciate iconic landmarks, including the breathtaking Victoria Harbour and the illustrious skyline, while immersing themselves in the dynamic atmosphere of the city. The experience was characterized by exploration and the establishment of new friendships.
