My year in CRDS at Lingnan University has been transformative, building versatile skills that open doors to diverse careers and further studies. I will carry these valuable "CRDS qualities" forward into a broader future. I chose CRDS for practical reasons—its classification under Law provides an edge in public sector exams. At the same time, its interdisciplinary approach, integrating politics, economics, and regional studies, acts like a master key, offering exceptional flexibility in my career path. Simply put, CRDS has given my professional future room to adapt and grow.

The learning journey over the past year has left a deep imprint on me. The CRDS teachers come from different countries and regions, and the broad perspectives and interdisciplinary ways of thinking they bring have inspired me to continually break out of conventional analytical frameworks. In the second semester, we delved into various enterprises, museums, and temples throughout the Greater Bay Area for field studies, bringing the insights gained from these visits into the classroom, where they complemented the classroom knowledge. When knowledge is filled with a sense of reality, it can take root deep within one’s heart.

This year's learning experience has been rich and fulfilling. The CRDS program integrates knowledge from multiple disciplines, with a curriculum leaning towards political science. The teachers incorporate the latest case studies to provide us with different perspectives for analyzing problems, which greatly aids our understanding and application of theoretical knowledge, especially beneficial for students aiming for public sector exams. Looking back over this past year of study, I believe the greatest gain has been the formation of a more systematic and critical perspective on regional studies. Whether in classroom debates or case analyses, my cognitive framework, personal skills, and teamwork abilities have been continually challenged and refined.
