About MHSM

 

MHSM programme is co-offered by two units at Lingnan University namely, School of Graduate Studies and Asia-Pacific Institute of Ageing Studies.

School of Graduate Studies

The School of Graduate Studies (GS) was founded to oversee the development of postgraduate studies programmes. In line with the strategic development goals of Lingnan University 2016-2022, GS is charged to collaborate with leading universities and research institutions in the region and beyond to offer strategic regional and international masters and doctoral programmes. Asia Pacific Institute of Ageing Studies

The Asia-Pacific Institute of Ageing Studies (APIAS) was founded in 1998. It is one of the most vibrant research institutes of Lingnan University. The institute comprises a team which is well-experienced in research and course development and facilitation. In line with Lingnan University’s vision for promoting quality education and expanding research and its impact, APIAS aspires to establish close partnerships with local communities, academia and the policy makers while making an impact in advocacy for a supportive society for all ages particularly the older citizens and their families in Hong Kong as well as the Asia-Pacific region. The programme is delivered collaboratively with other Lingnan University academic departments and research units such as:

  • Centre for Asia-Pacific Studies (CAPS), Lingnan University: The Centre aims to stimulate greater general interest and understanding of the Asia-Pacific region through the promotion of collaborative projects amongst scholars and experts.

  • Department of Computing and Decision Sciences, Lingnan University
  • Department of Sociology and Social Policy, Lingnan University
