Visit Housing Society Elderly Resources Centre (ERC), Yau Ma Tei

ERC was set up by The Housing Society to promote the concept of "age-friendly home" in the community. During the visit of distinctive educational tour and training programme, students get the better gist of need of the elderly thus facilitating their core curriculum learning.

InnoCarnival 2024 themed "Let’s Sail with Innovation and Technology" and showcased various innovations from different enterprises. Students have earned a first-person experience of contemporary technology achievement and how does it contribute to gerontology in Hong Kong.

AFC workshop is aiming at promoting the concept of age-friendly cities through mustering community's efforts to raise awareness on the well-being of the elderly in Hong Kong. Students take part in the AFC workshop to discuss and share their insight with the invited healthcare professionals.

WTS DHC provide multifaceted services to all age groups including district-oriented health promotion, education and so on. Students attempt to use the facility firsthand and help perform health risk factor assessment to the elderly thus earning better understanding on the need of the aged.

Lingnan University Visited Shandong Women's University

Prof. Edward Ameyaw and Dr. Chloe Siu from the School of Graduate Studies, Lingnan University, visited Shandong Women's University from 5 to 7 July, 2025. The purpose of this exchange was to promote in-depth dialogue on educational philosophy, teaching, and academic research between Shandong Women's University and Lingnan University. Additionally, the visit aimed to strengthen professional collaboration among faculty members, broaden students' academic horizons, and foster inter-university cooperation.

Highlights & Recognition

MHSM Student Mr. Tian Haobao and his team won the first runner-up in " Lingnan-Yuanpei STEM Summer Academy", and the project was got the opportunity to be supported by incubation fund.

Lingnan-Yuanpei STEM Summer Academy is organized by Lingnan University and Peking University Yuanpei College with an aim to support entrepreneurship for societal innovation among students. MHSM student Mr. Tian Haobao successfully turns his brilliant idea into a grant-winning business plan.

Health Cluster Programmes’ Alumni Sharing and Employment Advisory Seminar

To give some general employment advice and maintain connection between current students and alumni, an Alumni Sharing and Employment Advisory Seminar was organized on 13 February 2026. A total of 30 students from the Master of Health and Social Service Management (MHSM), Master of Health Analytics and Management (HAM), and Master of Science in Smart Ageing and Gerontology (SAG) programmes participated in the event. Meanwhile, 8 alumni shared their job-hunting opportunities, challenges, and personal experiences via hybrid method.

Lingnan University’s Gerontechnology Project: Fostering the Future of Social Entrepreneurs

Jockey Club Gerontechnology and Smart Ageing in Place Project at Institute of Policy Studies hosts an 18-hour Socialpreneurship Training Course every even-numbered month. To date, more than 35 sessions have been completed. The course in February attracted over 100 registrations, with successful applicants able to participate the course in hybrid learning.



To support the mainland Chinese students understand discussions on Hong Kong's ageing society and to further enhance young people's understanding of the elder care industry and gerontechnology across different regions, the course attracted both local and mainland students (including undergraduates and postgraduates). The course included multiple discussion sessions, allowing students to explore silver market opportunities from various perspectives, with a particular focus on developments in the Asia-Pacific region.
