FAQs (JUPAS)

There are a total of 23 JUPAS-participating programmes offered by Lingnan University. All selected JUPAS applicants will be admitted through programme-based admission.

NO. For JUPAS applicants, only HKDSE English Language result will be considered. Other English qualifications (e.g. IELTS, TOEFL) will only be taken as reference but not a substitute.

If you have taken more elective subjects, the result(s) in extra elective(s) may be given bonus score for marginal case.

Student Learning Profile (SLP) will be recognised as a document of good reference value that reflects a student’s achievements in both academic and non-academic aspects. It may also help programmes differentiate students with similar academic performance during the selection process.

We focus on the all-round performance of our applicants during the selection process and will consider the different achievements especially via the School Nominations Direct Admission Scheme (SNDAS) and Entrance Scholarships for Elite Athletes (ESEA).

The best results from a combination of all HKDSE subjects will be considered and there is no penalty or mark deduction for repeated sittings of a subject.

Applicants who seek admission on the strength of HKDSE results only SHOULD apply via JUPAS. Meanwhile, applicants who possess both HKDSE results AND other academic results should only apply via JUPAS (based on HKDSE results alone) OR directly to the University in the same academic year, but not both.

All 23 JUPAS-participating programmes offered by Lingnan University participate in the SNDAS.
