Major Fees for 2026 Entry

  • HK$200 per programme choice during the whole online application period.
  • Applicants can settle the application fee by using a VISA/MasterCard credit card or UnionPay credit/debit card. You will receive an acknowledgement email once you have made the payment and submitted your application online.

For UGC-funded programmes

  • For local students, the tuition fee is HK$49,500* for the 2027-28 academic year.
  • For non-local students#, the tuition fee is HK$205,000 for the 2027-28 academic year.

For self-financed programmes

Notes

Tuition fees are normally payable in two equal instalments at the start of the first and second terms of an academic year, unless stated otherwise. Any updates to the payable fees, payment terms, or any other aspects related to tuition fees will be promptly reflected above.

 

*According to the UGC, the adjusted tuition fee levels for local students enrolled in full-time UGC-funded programmes will be HK$49,500 in the 2027/28 AY.

 

#Non-local students are holders of:

  1. Student visa / Entry permit
  2. Visa / Entry permit under the Immigration Arrangements for Non-local Graduates (IANG)
  3. Dependent visa / Entry permit issued by the Immigration Department of the HKSAR when they are 18 years old or above
  • Fees for the 2027–28 academic year are currently under review and will be announced soon. 
  • Estimated fee ranges are provided to applicants during the hostel application process. For current rates, please visit the Office of Student Affairs Hostel Rates page.
  • Application Schedule: The hostel application details and results will be released around July / August 2027.
  • Self-Financed Programmes: Students admitted to self-financed undergraduate programmes should contact their respective programme office directly regarding hostel place availability.
  • HK$700 per application and should be payable when accepting a firm or conditional admission offer. Any updates to the payable fee or any other aspects related to student visa fee will be promptly reflected in this section.

Scholarship/Award Opportunities for Local Students

  • JUPAS applicants achieving a total HKDSE score of 22 or above from the best five subjects and admitted to any of the University's JUPAS-participating programme will be awarded a single renewable or one-off scholarship. Details are shown in the table below.
  • Renewable scholarship is tenable for a period of up to the normative duration of study, subject to the annual review of academic performance and other renewable criteria as stipulated in the terms and conditions of the scholarship.
  • The total HKDSE score could be obtained from multiple sittings.

The scholarship will be disbursed in two equal installments:

 

  • HK$4,000 has been applied to offset your 1st Term 2026/27 tuition fee.
  • The remaining HK$4,000 will be used to offset your 2nd Term 2026/27 tuition fee, provided you remain an active student in Term 2.

If an awardee leaves the University before graduation, he or she might be requested to return the full or partial amount of the one-off Admission Award to the University subject to the University's decision. Your agreement to these terms will be confirmed by accepting this offer.

Funded by the Lingnan Education Organization Limited (LEO), this scholarship is for new Data Science students admitted via JUPAS. These students MUST be a graduate from either Lingnan Secondary School, Lingnan Dr. Chung Wing Kwong Memorial Secondary School, or Lingnan Hang Yee Memorial Secondary School. Eligible candidates who achieved a Best Five (Unweighted) HKDSE Total Score of 20 or above will receive a scholarship amount of HK$80,000 (one-off) automatically. The LEO Dr David P. Chan Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Data Science (BScDS) programme offers entrance scholarships to attract outstanding and high-calibre students.   • Applicants of the University's UGC-funded first-year programme will be considered automatically for the following scholarships:
    • Full Scholarship (covering tuition, hostel, and partial academic and living expenses)
    • Full-tuition Scholarship
    • Half-tuition Scholarship
  • Each awarded scholarship is renewable and tenable for a period of up to the normative duration of study, subject to the annual review of academic performance and other renewable criteria as stipulated in the terms and conditions of the scholarship.
  • Applicants admitted to any of the University's UGC-funded senior-year programme achieving certain award criteria as shown in the table below will be given a single one-off award.
