My four-year university journey in Lingnan has been indescribably extraordinary, which still lingers in my mind despite having graduated for six years.
Welcomed and surrounded by groups of enthusiasts when I first arrived on campus, I assimilated into the vibrant community right away with their warm smiles and laughter. The small-scale interactive lectures have enabled us to develop a close relationship with our amiable professors and consult with them whenever we had doubts in mind, hence facilitating our learning efficacy and effectiveness. The service-learning component embedded in the courses even allowed us to move beyond knowledge acquisition to community service. We have learnt to empathize with others and ponder over how we can utilize our knowledge to benefit and contribute to our society in return.
While studying at Lingnan, you will be deeply impressed by the resources provided to students. During my four years of study, I participated in more than five exchange programmes in Canada, Lithuania, the US, the UK and other European countries for study and cultural exchange, with scholarships and subsidies granted. Such a wide array of exchange programs and extracurricular activities allowed me to enhance my exposure and acquire different skill sets, such as adaptability, critical thinking, communication skills and confidence, all of which have shaped who I am now. I can't be prouder of being a Lingnanian!
