Testimonial
Hailing from the historical city of Xi’an, I moved to Hong Kong to study Business at Lingnan when I was 17 years old. I could say Lingnan has shaped my personal values and taught me to be who I am today.
As a non-local student, I had no trouble getting along with my friendly and warm local roommates and classmates. They helped correct my Cantonese, cheered me on at a singing competition, and lent me a shoulder to cry on when I was homesick. Presentations, academic exchanges, and festivals—every day at Lingnan was filled with excitement and purpose.
The professors in the business department have become my mentors and family as well. They took me home for homemade dinner, introduced me to their friends at external events, and encouraged me when I entered the final interview for a very competitive job position.
Fast forward to my professional career, people praise my Cantonese, my warm personality, and my well-connected social network. I have to say the four years at Lingnan paved a solid path for me to enter society and adapt quickly to the job market. It was the best four years of my life.
