ABOUT SCEM
Overview
The Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) in Sports Coaching and Event Management (SCEM) is a self-financed, two-year top-up degree programme offered by the School of Interdisciplinary Studies. The programme is designed for Associate Degree/Higher Diploma graduates from sports, business, management and health science programmes, as well as athletes aspiring to pursue careers in sports coaching and event management.
The programme adopts an interdisciplinary learning approach to enhance both learning and teaching experiences. Over the course of two years, students will thoroughly study various contents in sports coaching, including the integration of event management. Additionally, the curriculum covers practical applications in sports psychology, e-marketing, smart city initiatives, health promotion, and human resources management, providing a comprehensive education that prepares students for diverse professional roles.

Goals
The programme aims to provide quality training for students in areas of sports coaching and event management. Through the integration of analytical and theoretical skills with practical experiences, students gain the necessary expertise in initiating and organising sports events and perform coaching duties in sports.
