Admission Requirements

An applicant should:

1. Hold a bachelor's degree awarded by a recognized tertiary institution or have equivalent qualifications, which will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

2. An applicant whose degree is not from a tertiary institution in Hong Kong or an English-speaking country should obtain a minimum score of 79 (internet-based test) in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), a band score of 6.0 or above in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), or a minimum score of 450 or above in the College English Test Band 6 (CET-6). 

    

   For IELTS and TOEFL qualifications for admission purpose, the University only accepts results of tests that are conducted at a test centre and within the validity period, viz. 2 years, from the time of submission of an admission application for the specific intake cohort.

   For CET6 qualification for admission purpose, the University only accepts results of tests that are within the validity period, viz. 5 years, from the time of submission of an admission application for the specific intake cohort.

Pre-entry Course

1. Applicants to the MScESGM Programme or the Sustainable Technology Concentration: Applicants with no or limited business background in their undergraduate studies will be required to pass a 30-hour pre-entry course, Introduction to Business, prior to the commencement of the Programme. The specific requirement will be determined based on an assessment of the courses listed in the applicant’s undergraduate transcript.
