ToolGuy provides a variety of equipment rental services at affordable prices. These include hiking, camping, party supplies, and aquatic activities. ToolGuy also assists and arranges

pick-up services for customers.

The Issue

To address the severe solid waste problem in Hong Kong, ToolGuy provides equipment rental services, reducing waste caused by unnecessary consumption and encouraging the use of second-hand equipment. The goal is to have more people enjoy activities in a more environmentally friendly and low-cost manner.

The Solution

Through resource-sharing and facilitating the reuse of equipment, ToolGuy promotes local green travelling. ToolGuy contributes to a circular economy model, helping reducing over-consumption. People can enjoy natural landscapes and build diverse social relationships while keeping material wastage to a minimum.

Impact

They get 3 to 5 customer orders each week and received praise from hundreds of customers, all praising their highly qualified and attentive services including all equipment and tents are clean. The camping cook set has quality assurance, easy to assemble, suitable for gatherings, the price is reasonable, the delivery location is also very convenient. Besides, they constantly promote environmental recycling award scheme, dedicated to helping Hong Kong people develop a good recycling habit. In the future, they are planning to switch from renting to a sales model, advocating try-and-buy to reduce excessive consumption.
