My journey in the tech industry began at Lingnan University, where I majored in Marketing while minoring in Chinese Business Studies. From early on, I was drawn to emerging technologies, which led me to roles in market research, telecommunications, FMCG, and eventually, internet entertainment. Each step of my career brought new challenges and learning opportunities, from rebranding China Unicom’s prepaid SIM cards to managing large-scale events like trade fairs and food expos.

Seven years ago, I joined Alibaba Cloud as one of its first marketing staff members in Hong Kong. Starting from scratch, we built the brand with limited resources, focusing on enterprise users rather than individual consumers. Over time, my role expanded to cover the Greater China region and other Asia-Pacific countries. One of my most fulfilling projects involved using cloud computing to aid Macau's digital transformation, enhancing residents' quality of life. Another highlight was supporting the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, leveraging Alibaba Cloud’s technology for a more advanced event experience.

As my career progressed, I felt a growing desire to give back to society. Collaborating with non-profits like Heep Hong Society, I helped develop an online flag-selling platform, ensuring they met their fundraising goals despite weather disruptions. Additionally, I partnered with social welfare organizations to create mooncake gift boxes featuring Mid-Autumn themed artwork made by individuals with disabilities using generative AI tools. These initiatives not only supported underprivileged communities but also enhanced our brand image.

Through these experiences, I've learned the importance of persistence and preparation. Stability in a company allows for growth into managerial roles, and thorough preparation for interviews demonstrates sincerity and business acumen. My journey has been about discovering strengths, pursuing an ideal career, and using innovation to benefit society. This balance between professional success and social responsibility continues to inspire me every day.
