Programme Overview
Our program is designed to cultivate students' abilities to understand social complexities, tackle root causes of issues, and propose solutions. By honing research skills and analytical thinking, students could explore diverse human societal topics. By emphasizing core societal principles and transformations, it will equip them to study communities and institutions effectively.
The Programme is co-organized by Department of Sociology and Social Policy and Department of Economics.
Programme Objectives
Studies social and public policies, particularly as they relate to the rapid changes in local, regional and global environments.
Studies social and economic issues such as ageing and population, gender, employment, housing, health and social welfare.
Provides inter-disciplinary perspectives that will enhance students’ ability to analyse social and public policy issues and debates.
