New SEN Equipment
Library targets to support diversity, equity, and inclusion for all our users. The library has been working closely with the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) to provide equipment for users with Special Education Needs (SEN). The following are new additions to the On Loan Equipment:
Optelec Compact 7 HD
This portable 7-inch widescreen electronic video magnifier provides an ideal solution for those with visual impairments.
OrCam MyEye Pro
This wearable, voice-activated solution can instantly read text from any book or screen. It's designed specifically for those with visual impairments.
Scanmarker Air
This wireless pen scanner can scan and copy text in seconds and send it to a Windows PC/Mac/phone. It also provides translations, making it particularly useful for users with reading difficulties.
In addition, the Library will install an Induction Loop at the Service Counter to assist users with hearing impairments.
Together, we can make the Library a more inclusive space for everyone.
