Enhanced Open Access Publishing Support @ Lingnan 2024
Commencing in 2024, the Library has induced strategic initiatives with a new suite of OA Publishing Support for Lingnan Researchers.
The Library has entered OA Publishing Agreements with 4 publishers, allowing Lingnan authors to publish an agreed number of OA articles in their academic journals at no additional cost upon fulfilling specific conditions:
- Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)
- Cambridge University Press
- Springer Nature
- Wiley
The University has established the OA Publishing Support Fund to help offsetting part of the cost of Article Processing Charges (APC) for Lingnan authors interested in publishing their research outputs in open-access journals. It works on a reimbursement mechanism to fund 50% of the cost of APC or up to a maximum of 1,500 USD per article, whichever is lower upon compliance with all funding eligibility criteria.
Lingnan authors can take the Green OA route to Self-Archive your Preprint / Accepted Author Manuscripts in Lingnan Scholars to enable your research outputs to be more widely and openly accessible.
These initiatives would bring in more OA publishing opportunities for Lingnan researchers. The Library would continue our efforts to extend our support to OA Publishing @ Lingnan.
