The Department of Management was honoured to welcome Prof. Hong DENG for an academic seminar entitled
“When Do People Prefer to Be Asked or Told?” — The “Lock-and-Key” Model of Advice Acceptance and the Publication Journey in JAP.

During the seminar, Prof. Deng presented her high-impact research published in the Journal of Applied Psychology, illustrating how advice effectiveness depends on the alignment between advising style and individual preferences.
