Introduction: Prof. Wang received his Ph.D. in Management from UCL School of Management. He studies the strategic behaviors individuals use to navigate challenges in their interactions with people and technology at work. One line of his research examines the nature and psychological consequences of behaviors people use to manage social relationships, such as brokering, and to influence how others perceive these relationships, such as hiding and faking friendships. Another line investigates how generative AI reshapes work and workplace relationships, including how employees' perceptions of their jobs shift as they recraft their tasks in response to generative AI, and how the technology influences their social perceptions and relationships.
