From the faith-based Eco-Spiritual Village fostering mutual care, to the Senior Learning Center encouraging lifelong learning, Suyuan’s social prescription model, and Xikou Mutual-Help Home assisting dementia caregivers, these visits offered valuable insights and deepened my understanding of holistic elderly care and community support.

SAG Student QIN Chenyu's Taiwan Journey

During our trip to Taiwan, we visited four meaningful organizations. The Lianzhuyuan community demonstrated a faith-based mutual assistance spirit, where residents selflessly support one another. At the Gukeng Senior Learning Center, elderly individuals shared their passion for lifelong learning by teaching us how to roast coffee beans. Suyuan’s social prescription model highlighted the importance of community-based healthcare. Lastly, the mutual-help family visit showed the strength of community support and volunteerism. These experiences deeply inspired me and expanded my understanding of holistic elderly care.
