Programme Introduction

The Master of Science in Smart Ageing and Gerontology (SAG) programme aims to promote active and productive ageing through critical appraisal and application of latest gerontechnologies and big data analytics. The programme, co-developed by School of Graduate Studies of Lingnan University (LU) and School of Nursing and Health Sciences of Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU), is suitable for people interested in advancing their careers in gerontology and ageing research and service delivery in the context of modern technologies. By drawing on the research strengths of two universities, the programme will deliver a world-class training to students of different background and work experience.

The Master of Science in Smart Ageing and Gerontology is also the only master's programme in Hong Kong specialising in gerontology and smart elderly care, directly addressing the global challenge of population ageing and anticipating future societal needs.
