Eligibility and Criteria:
The Scholarship shall be awarded to full-time undergraduate students from the Department of Chinese that achieve the highest CGPA.
The awardees should demonstrate good moral character.
If there are candidates of comparable academic merits, priority shall be given to the student who has financial need or outstanding performance in extra-curricular activities or social services.

Simon Suen Foundation Department of Chinese Thesis Awards

Eligibility and Criteria:
The Scholarship shall be awarded to 1 full-time undergraduate student, 1 taught postgraduate MA student, 1 MPhil student and 1 PhD student from the Department of Chinese. If there is no MPhil or PhD student in current academic year, the scholarship will be awarded to another full-time undergraduate student or taught postgraduate MA student instead.
The UG awardees should achieve a CGPA of 3 or above in the current academic year. The awardees should enroll in CHI4301 Directed Thesis, opt to write a thesis, and achieve at least an A- in the course (depends according to currect year).
The MA, MPhil and Phd awardees should submit the thesis wriiten during study and be nominated by the Department of Chinese.
