Mr. SUEN Chun Kit Tommy

With years of study in social sciences and work experience in the non-governmental sector and educational and research institutes, I have endeavoured to practice theories in the field to realise humanistic care in a reflexive manner. My area of interest stems from Foucauldian governmentality and its effect on policy and society, and I have furthered it to social policy and welfare regimes, particularly youth policy and youth transition regimes, in my PhD study. Focusing on the emerging youth policy in Hong Kong, I decided to measure and evaluate the youth transition regime of the region and explore the relationship between subjective youth belongingness and the youth policy.

I actively participate in public affairs. I am assigned as a volunteer member of and affiliated with different organisations, including Y’s Men International Hong Kong District, Business and Professionals Alliance for Hong Kong, Chinese Dream Think Tank, and International Diverse Youth Organisation.
