LIAO Zihan received her Bachelor degree in Radio, Film and Television Editing and Master degree in Theatre, Film and Television Studies from Chongqing University. Her current research focuses on the early Chinese cinema, with a particular focus on women’s labour in early Chinese film production.

Ms CHEN Junye

PhD student（2026-2029）

CHEN Junye holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Technology from Henan University. She also holds an MSc in Business Information Systems from City University of Hong Kong. She is interested in exploring digital humanities approaches to Chinese history and culture.

Ms JI Tiange

PhD student（2026-2029）

Tiange JI holds a MPhil degree in Art Studies from the Central Academy of Drama, where she worked for four years after graduating. Her research interests encompass participatory performance practices and the creative expression of traditional culture in the digital realm. Her current research focuses on art and technology, as well as human–computer interaction.

Ms ZHAO Hanzhang

Mphil Student（2025-2028）

Hanzhang Zhao is an MPhil student in Film and Visual Arts at Lingnan University. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature from the University of Hong Kong and a Master’s degree in Cultural Studies from the University of Sydney. Her research centers around early female filmmaking.
