Dr. SUN holds a ph.D in Psychology from the University of Limerick, Ireland, and specializes in cross-cultural psychology. His research examines how individuals perceive and evaluate others across cultural contexts, with a focus on methods such as prototype analyses. He received the RGC Junior Research Fellow award to conduct postdoctoral research in the Department of Psychology at Lingnan University. His current research focuses on social and psychological functions of scientists, experts, and public intellectuals, and how these influence laypeople's perceptions of social psychology findings.
