Accommodation

All exchange students at Lingnan University are required to live on-campus and share a room with another student for the duration of their studies. Rooms are assigned randomly. We have a total of 12 student hostels offering air-conditioned accommodations: All residents must adhere to the Hostel Rules and Regulations.

Standard Student Room (Twin-Sharing)

Each exchange student shares an air-conditioned room, approximately 110 sq ft, with another student. Each room is furnished with:

• 1 cabinet
• 1 desk and chair
• 1 single bed
• Free LAN service connected to the University’s network

• Free electricity

   

Accommodation Fees

Depending on the exchange agreement between Lingnan University and your home institution, some students may need to pay a hostel fee. For those required to pay, the fees are as follows:

Hostel Fee:

• Fall/ Spring Term: HK$7,800/ per term
• Summer Term (Session 1): HK$2,944
• Summer Term (Session 2): HK$1,600

Air Condition Fee:

• Fall/ Spring Term: HK$330/ per term
• Summer Term (Session 1): HK$230/ per term
• Summer Term (Session 2): HK$125/ per term

Linen Set

Exchange students can either bring their own linen or purchase a new set from the university, which includes:

• 1 pillow
• 1 pillowcase
• 1 bed sheet
• 1 comforter

Please indicate your preference in the Online Application System. Late requests may not be accommodated.

Facilities of Student Hostels

Each student hostel includes the following shared facilities:

• Restrooms and showers for floor occupants
• A common room
• A pantry on each floor equipped with boilers, microwave ovens, and refrigerators
• Free public telephones (international calls not available) located in the lift lobby on each floor

• A laundry area with washing machines and dryers
