Dr. Mahir Taher

Mahir is a Senior Research Engineer, brought in to support humanitarian technology development and teaching. He specialises in applying techniques learned from engineering to multidisciplinary biomedical research, from investigating Alzheimer's development to developing a prototype phototherapy vest to treat newborn jaundice in low-resourced settings. He has experience in computational modelling, imaging, application development and data visualisation.

Mahir is passionate about addressing needs in low-resourced settings and delivering positive impact to their societies. He also enjoys teaching, mentoring, and welcomes any opportunities for community engagement.
