Dr. Sarah Mak

Sarah is a passionate and self-motivated professional with multi-disciplinary expertise and cross-industry experiences in academia, entrepreneurship, and global healthcare investments. She obtained a PhD in Molecular Biology and Neuroscience from the University of Hong Kong. Her research interest focused on the areas of endocrinology and neurobiology. With strong research experience, she has led a few government-funded research projects in a biotech start-up spinning off from HKU and during her post-doctoral fellowship in the Faculty of Medicine, HKU. Apart from academic experiences, she has years of experience in healthcare startups and global healthcare investments. Before Lingnan University, she was a Research Analyst at ORI Capital Ltd, a venture capital on global healthcare investment.

Sarah strives to drive innovations from universities to society and create meaningful impact. She is now the Programme Manager for the MA in Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management (SEIM). She teaches the course and oversees program quality assurance, promotion, and recruitment.
