Art and Creativity in the Age of AI
The “Art and Creativity in the Age of AI” symposium is a groundbreaking event that uniquely bridges academic expertise, industry innovation, and student engagement to explore the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on art and media. Organised by the Department of Digital Arts and Creative Industries at Lingnan University, this one-day symposium features a diverse lineup of AI academic scholars and industry experts, including representatives from Nvidia, a global leader in AI technology.
The morning sessions include a keynote speech by Professor Eugene Ch’ng, a renowned academic in AI-driven creativity, and a scholarly panel that examines critical thinking and artistic practices in the AI era. In the afternoon, Nvidia’s experts will lead an industry panel addressing cutting-edge topics such as AI-powered media production, creative intelligence, and the ethical considerations in automation. This collaboration highlights the intersection of theoretical insights and real-world applications, offering attendees a rare opportunity to engage with leaders shaping the future of AI in creative industries.
The symposium concludes with a hands-on student workshop, where participants can explore AI tools for world building, creative coding, and generating 3D scenes. By integrating academic discourse, industry expertise, and practical demonstrations, this event redefines the boundaries of creativity and innovation in the digital age.
