課程特色
1. 創新兼跨學科課程
跨學科是HAM的最大特色之一，其提供的課程涉及多個學科，包括數據科學、社會科學、衛生政策、訊息通訊科技、商科和健康科學。以HAM Project課程為例，學員將有機會接觸並參與業界的醫療衛生項目，讓他們實踐課堂理論，並運用所學知識解決現實問題。
2. 海內外合作伙伴
本校與多家醫療保健中心、療養院，非政府組織、商業機構，以及香港醫院管理局（屯門醫院）建立了合作夥伴關係。這些合作夥伴將為本課程學員提供異常廣泛的實習和專業培訓機會。同學還可以參加由嶺南的海外合作伙伴舉辦的短期交換生計劃和暑期班。
3. 先進教研設施
嶺南設有嶺大賽馬會樂齡科技體驗館及多個即將啟動的實驗室，為同學在學習和研究方面提供有力支援。此外，本校的數據科學實驗室、動畫及數碼藝術實驗室、人工智能與教育實驗室以及中醫診所等，均能確保學員得到真正的跨學科學習體驗。
4. 教學團隊經驗豐富
HAM的教學團隊由全球頂尖電腦科學家、工程師、大數據分析師、統計學家、社會科學家、醫療衛生從業員及商科學者等組成，他們在醫療衛生及營運管理之分析及應用數據等方面，均具有專業知識。
The rapid growth and development of information technology is not only a spectacle in the industry itself, but more importantly, a game changer taking a profound impact on the nature of all professions and industries. Data has become and will continue to be a major factor of production in the digital economy. In fact, it is fair to say that no profession or industry will survive without data. Therefore it is imperative that future professionals and workers will need to be equipped with the abilities to understand, manage and master data. I can foresee that data skills are highly sought-after broadly in all businesses, and in this particular case, the healthcare industry which by itself is and will remain as a major industry of the future due to aging society as well as the increasing health consciousness of people. This is a rather unique programme aiming to groom talents for the future of health industry. It is my genuine wish to see the programme a success and help to nurture more professionals of the highest caliber to cope with the need of Hong Kong.
