Joint Humanitarian Entrepreneurship Winter Academy 2024

The Joint Humanitarian Entrepreneurship Winter Academy enhances student learning by challenging them with real-world problems while simultaneously creating a positive impact in the community by developing solutions. The program's core values will revolve around creative expression, empathy, embracing ambiguity, visualising challenges, and synthesizing actionable ideas. Students will tackle real-world social issues in Humanitarian Technology & Inclusive Business in Batangas, Philippines.

Reminders

  • Students need to ensure that they are eligible to take the CLC9019 Course in Term 2, 2023-2024. (As this is a Term 2 course, students must be prepared to (1) drop a course if they already have 5 courses registered or (2) get approval from their department head for the 6th course.) 
  • Students enrolled in the programme must attend the pre-trip training and post-trip activities on campus.  
  • All shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an in-person interview in late October 2023. 
  • OSL will cover the full Programme Fees. Students are expected to pay a HKD5,000 deposit, which will be fully refunded upon successful completion of the entire programme (including all pre & post programme dates). 
  • Programme Fees include travel from Hong Kong to the hosting city, hostel accommodation for the entire course of the programme, most meals and expenses related to the programme. It does not include visa application fees, meals at the airport and personal expenses.
