Real-time Capturing of Student Photos in Online Reporting System

To strengthen identity verification and enhance account security, the Online Reporting System (ORS) has been upgraded starting from the 1st Term 2026 - 2027. A new real-time photo capture feature now enables students to take and submit their photos directly using a webcam or mobile device during the reporting process. The enhanced workflow includes image cropping and automatic background processing to help ensure that submitted photos meet the quality requirements for student card production.

The login workflow has also been enhanced with stronger security controls. First-time users are required to set up a dedicated ORS password that complies with updated password requirements, while subsequent logins use password-based authentication to better safeguard student accounts. To further improve system reliability and user experience, the login page now displays the detected browser name and version, together with recommended browser information, allowing students to verify that they are using a supported browser before proceeding. Additional protection measures, including temporary account lockout after multiple unsuccessful login attempts, have also been introduced to reduce security risks.

These enhancements provide a more secure, reliable, and user-friendly reporting experience while reinforcing the protection of students' personal information throughout the reporting process.
