Message from the Chairperson and Vice Chair

It is my great pleasure to be Chair for the AIB Asia Pacific Chapter. I have been attending this conference for over 20 years and have served on the organising committee for around 10 years. During this time, I have very much enjoyed networking with many people at the annual conference in some wonderful locations. What always strook me most about this conference was the friendly welcome given to all participants. My appreciation goes to Prof. T. S. Chan and Vanessa for their warmth and affection, Prof. Cui Geng and Professor Yingyot Chiaravutthi. We are continuing to serve with the same enthusiasm and spirit. Long may it continue!

I am delighted to inform you that as from this year, the Office of Global Education, Lingnan University will serve as Secretariat in organising the annual conference. I look forward to working with you all in the future and if we can be of any assistance, please feel free to contact me. We wish you all the very best of health and hope to see you soon!

I am delighted to take on the Vice Chair role for the AIB Asia Pacific Chapter. I have been attending this conference since 2010 and have served on the organizing committee for several years now. I thoroughly enjoy networking and working with so many scholars at the annual conferences, which are always held in brilliant and interesting locations. The atmosphere of the conference is so cozy, and everyone feels well-connected with the AIB Asia Pacific Chapter family. This reputation does not always occur in all international conferences, and it is the result of the hard work of past and present conference organizers.

On behalf of all conference attendees, I express sincere appreciation and thanks to the entire AIB Asia Pacific Chapter team. My gratitude first goes to Prof. T. S. Chan (the founding chair) and Vanessa for their warmth and affection in organizing so many wonderful conferences over the years. I also extend thanks to Prof. Cui Geng, Professor Yingyot Chiaravutthi, and Dr. Wenting Zhu for their excellent services with the same enthusiasm and spirit. Without them, the AIB Asia Pacific Chapter tradition and legacy would not be possible to continue.

Thank you again for your great support for the Chapter. I work closely with Professor Barnes, Dr. Zhu, and all of you in the near future, and to echo the Chair’s statement, please let us know if we can be of any assistance.
